RyeZine #11 interview article
I am beyond stoked to share this article/interview I did with RyeZine. Not only am I feeling beyond humbled and privileged to have been asked to feature in a publication that I’m already so fond of (and the people behind it), but it has also been a really lovely and cathartic way to share some of my story.
We connect the dots through my childhood, to early jobs, my life as a musician, previous business ventures, my journey into food since going plant based, leading up to discovery of kombucha and into the present day! 🎸
It features some really significant names that have been a big part in this journey, especially in those formative days (see instagram post for tags)… the list of people who have encouraged or inspired me along and also been a part of this journey so far is honestly pretty endless, I am hugely fortunate in this regard! ❤️
Going through my story with the ever patient @mrgresty at @thewineryrye was honestly like a therapy session and it feels so cool to have this out there! The issue also features many other talented individuals such as the legend that is @flavourfred!
Go pick up a copy of RyeZine #11 if you can! If not you can also read the article here.
Thanks @markcocksedge for the epic photos 📸

GREAT TASTE AWARDS 2023
I’m thrilled to share that two of my kombuchas have won Great Taste Award accolades in the 2023 round of judging!
This is the worlds most recognised and ubiquitous awards for the food and drink industry. Well seasoned judges blind-taste thousands of products each year, provide feedback and award 1-3 stars for excellence, if they deem.
This year there were no 3 star kombucha winners, but I was 1 of 9 two star winners with the ‘organic Ginger & Turmeric Root + black peppercorn’ and 1 of 46 one star winners with my ‘garden waste Fig Leaf (herbal)’ seasonal kombucha. Not bad for my first ever entry, and considering this little business is still so young! 🎖

TASTE OF KENT AWARDS 2023
My Ginger & Turmeric kombucha has been awarded the silver medal in our first ever entry to the Taste Of Kent Awards, Kent Non-Alcoholic Cold Drink category. It was an honour to be selected as one of three finalists from a blind tasting, followed by the TOKA food and drink festival and awards ceremony on 15th June 2023. My fellow finalists were the long-established Chegworth Valley with their Spiced Apple Juice (gold medal) and fellow start up Beardy B’s Lemonade with their Original Lemonade (bronze medal).
